Trappify has been selling flying-insect traps since 2019. We write about pest control because it is the business we are in, and because most of what is published on the subject online is vague. These are the standards we hold our own content to, and where those standards have limits we would rather say so plainly than imply otherwise.
Who writes this content
Our articles are written and edited in-house by the Trappify team. We are not entomologists and we do not present ourselves as scientific authorities. What we do have is direct, practical experience with flying-insect traps — what catches, what does not, where traps work and where they are the wrong tool — from designing, testing and selling them.
Where an article states a biological or medical fact, we source it from published references rather than from our own opinion. If a claim needs a citation and we cannot support it, we remove the claim.
How we use AI
We use AI tools, including ChatGPT, to help outline articles and draft first passes. We think readers are entitled to know that.
No article is published purely as a model wrote it. Every piece is reviewed and edited by a person before it goes live, and factual claims are checked against sources. When we find AI-generated text that is wrong, padded or duplicated elsewhere on the site, we rewrite it or remove the page entirely — and we have removed a substantial number of pages for exactly that reason.
Images
Images fall into two groups. Product photography is our own. Everything else is licensed or public-domain stock, or images sourced from libraries such as Unsplash, Pexels and Wikimedia Commons, used under their respective licences. We do not claim authorship of stock imagery.
Product reviews and commercial disclosure
We sell pest-control products, and some of our articles discuss those products. That is a commercial interest, not independent review, and you should read it that way. Where we compare our traps to alternatives we try to be accurate about what each is good for, but we are not a neutral party.
Dates and corrections
Every article shows when it was published and when it was last updated. If an article has been revised, the updated date reflects that.
If you find something on this site that is factually wrong, out of date, or looks plagiarised, email support@trappify.com and tell us which page. We will check it, correct it, and update the page. Corrections are how the site improves — we would much rather hear about a mistake than leave it up.
