Fly Traps, Gnat Traps & Moth Traps

Trappify makes non-toxic traps for the flying insects that get into houses — house flies, fruit flies, fungus gnats, and pantry and clothes moths. Every trap on this page works by adhesive or pheromone. There is no pesticide, no vapor and nothing to plug in.

Indoor and outdoor fly traps
The hanging fly stick trap works indoors and out: unroll it, hang it near where flies gather, and replace it when it fills. The glow trap is the same idea with a reflective surface that draws flies in lower light, which suits garages, porches and barns. For a heavy outdoor problem — livestock, bins, compost — the outdoor fly bag trap is a disposable, high-capacity option you hang away from the house and throw away whole.

Window fly traps
Flies and gnats move toward light, so they collect on window glass. A window fly trap folds into the corner of the pane and catches them where they already are, without a lure or a device in the middle of the room. It is the least intrusive option for kitchens, bathrooms and sunrooms.

Gnat and fruit fly traps
Yellow dual-sided sticky traps target fungus gnats and fruit flies. Yellow is the color these species are drawn to, and the small stake format sits at soil level in a houseplant pot, which is where fungus gnats emerge. For a kitchen fruit fly problem, pair them with a window trap: one catches the adults at the glass, the other catches what is hatching from the plant.

Moth traps
The universal moth trap uses a pheromone lure rather than adhesive alone, so it draws male moths in rather than waiting for them to land. It works on both pantry moths (in flour, rice, cereal and dry goods) and clothes moths (in wardrobes and drawers). Pheromone traps do not kill larvae, so pair them with clearing out the infested food or fabric — the trap breaks the breeding cycle, it does not replace the clean-out.

Choosing between them
Match the trap to where the insect actually is. Flies on the glass: window traps. Flies moving through a room: a hanging fly stick. Gnats around houseplants: yellow sticky traps at soil level. Moths in a pantry or wardrobe: a pheromone moth trap. Large outdoor populations: the fly bag.
None of these are mosquito traps. Mosquitoes hunt by carbon dioxide and body heat rather than light or scent lures, so a passive adhesive trap is the wrong tool for them. They also will not help with crawling insects.
