Flies and gnats move toward light, which is why they collect at your windows. A window fly trap works because it sits exactly where they already are — in the corner of the pane — instead of asking them to find a lure in the middle of the room.
How the window fly trap works
Each trap folds along its crease and tucks into the corner of the glass, sitting flat against the frame. There is no bait, no spray, no plug-in and no zapper. Insects land on the adhesive as they work along the glass toward the light, and the clear backing keeps the trap unobtrusive against the window.
The double-strength adhesive holds for up to 90 days, so one application usually covers a full season in a single room. When a trap fills, fold it closed on itself and throw it away — nothing to clean, nothing to empty.
What it catches — and what it doesn’t
These traps catch house flies, fruit flies, fungus gnats and other small flying insects that gather at glass. They are not a mosquito trap: mosquitoes hunt by carbon dioxide and body heat, not light at a window, so a passive window trap is the wrong tool for them. They also will not help with crawling insects.
Where to put a window fly trap
Kitchens above the sink, bathroom windows, laundry rooms, sunrooms and any window where you keep seeing insects on the glass. In a room with several windows, start with the one that gets the most direct light — that is usually where they concentrate.
For houseplant fungus gnats, pair a window trap with a yellow sticky trap at soil level. The window trap catches the adults flying to light; the soil trap catches the ones emerging from the pot.
Non-toxic by design
There is no pesticide and no vapor. The trap is adhesive and a printed backing, which is why it can go in a kitchen or a child’s room without a warning label. Keep the adhesive face away from curious hands and pets — it is sticky, not poisonous.

Available in 4, 8, 12 and 24 packs. One trap covers one window corner. Most single-room problems are solved with 4; the 12 and 24 packs are for whole-house or seasonal replacement.
One trap has 19 flies in it!!! We are renovating part of our house and have tons of flies in the part we are living in. I’m shocked by how well these traps work. I wish they didn’t announce “fly trap” with the giant label on the traps. Otherwise, they don’t look bad at all in my window, and I’d probably always have one or two around my house bc I like to leave my doors and windows open.
We are opening our yard door often due to a geriatric dog. The flies often enter the home with no invitation. They are sure to be lured to the trap on the windows. I tell them as they pass me, “enjoy your accommodation”
Works well to trap flies but does leave a sticky residue on the window. Also if you have full sun the trap will fall off from the window as the tape bond seems to melt away…
Amazing product. I purchased these because I have a cousin that had one in her window. I asked her what it was and she told me so I purchased them. Very pleased with how it catches the flies. I even had a fly flying around by it and I blew on it and it flew into the trap. Problem solved. I would recommend this product to anybody.The only thing I’m not happy about is how they put the logo on the front of the fly trap. Other than that, the product is great!
