Traps that work without pesticide

Every Trappify trap catches insects mechanically — glue, colour, glow or pheromone. Never poison. There is nothing to spray, nothing to ventilate, and no reason to move the dog out of the room while it works.

Why there is no pesticide in any of it

Flying insects land exactly where you least want chemistry: the counter where food gets prepped, the bowl the dog drinks from, the pantry shelf. A spray has to settle somewhere, and that somewhere is the surface the insect was standing on. A trap does not have that problem. It holds the insect and nothing else.

The practical difference shows up in how you use them. No re-entry interval, no airing out the room, no keeping children or pets away while it takes effect. You hang it or stick it, and walk away.

How each trap actually catches

Adhesive. The hanging sticks, the window corner traps and the sticky cards all work on contact — an insect lands and stays. The adhesive holds for up to 90 days, and you can swap a trap sooner whenever you want to.

Colour. Fungus gnats and fruit flies are drawn to yellow, which is why the sticky cards are that particular shade and not a decorative one. Set at soil level in a houseplant, they intercept the adults emerging from the pot.

Glow. The glow is built into the glow sticks rather than printed on them. It charges in daylight and glows through the night, when plenty of flying insects are still moving — which is why that version catches up to 33% more than the standard stick.

Pheromone. The moth traps carry a dual-species lure, so one trap draws both pantry moths and clothes moths. It works by attracting males, and catching males is what interrupts the breeding cycle rather than just thinning the moths you happen to see.

What they are made of

The traps and their packaging are recycled paper, with one exception we would rather name than bury: the yellow gnat traps are plastic. A sticky card has to go into damp potting soil and stay rigid sitting there, and paper will not do that.
